PH Red Cross maintains its vaccines are 'not for sale'
The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) reiterated that the vaccines being used during its vaccination activities are not for sale.

“We are not in the business of selling and making profit,” PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Richard Gordon in a statement issued Thursday, July 1. “We are not here for business. We are here to save lives,” he added.
PRC launched the “Bakuna Bus” on June 30 as part of its vaccination efforts to fight COVID-19.

“The government included the PRC to procure Moderna vaccines, without any hesitation we bought what is available to ramp up our vaccination,” Gordon said. “We just need to recover our costs to continue our operations,” he added.
Gordon also assured that PRC will continue to vaccinate and strongly reiterated that “PRC vaccines are not for sale.”
PRC also vowed to continue its efforts in fighting COVID-19 through regular testing, isolation of the affected ones, and “vaccinating the unvaccinated” - especially the most vulnerable.

Meanwhile, Gordon personally asked the government for the vaccines to be rolled out as soon as possible.
“There is no time for waiting, we need to vaccinate our people immediately,” Gordon said. “PRC is ready to test, isolate, treat, and vaccinate our fellow Filipinos,” he added.
