The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is set to build a station in Laguna de Bay to strengthen community engagement and expansion of command in the area.
PCG Commodore Leovigildo Panopio, district commander of National Capital Region (NCR) Central Luzon, and Jalajala Mayor Elmer Pillas have signed the memorandum of agreement on Tuesday, June 29.

The PCG said the Jalajala municipality will provide a building that will be utilized by the Coast Guard Station Laguna de Bay located near the shore in Barangay Punta, Jalajala, Rizal.
Prior to the agreement, the Laguna de Bay was under the jurisdiction of PCG Station Rizal.
“This initiative is part of the district’s intensified community engagement in connection with the developmental plans and expansion of the command with its current 15 districts, 86 stations, and 409 sub-stations nationwide,” the Coast Guard said.
