DAR keen on distributing gov't-owned lands in Central Luzon to farmers
The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) is eyeing the distribution of government-owned lands in Central Luzon, including around 300 hectares (ha) of land in Pampanga, to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).

DAR Secretary Brother John Castriciones is set to meet with field officials in Central Luzon on June 11 to finalize strategies and mechanisms to immediately distribute all government-owned lands or GOLs in the region.
The move is in compliance with the Executive Order (EO) No. 75, series of 2019, which directs all government instrumentalities to identify state-owned lands that are suitable for agricultural purposes so they may be distributed to identified, qualified beneficiaries.
Agrarian Central Luzon Regional Director Maria Celestina Tam said that in the province of Pampanga alone, DAR intends to fast track the distribution of around 300 ha of land within the Pampanga State Agricultural University (PSAU).
Other areas, she said, will follow suit in identifying GOLs for possible distribution to ARBs in their respective provinces.
Meanwhile, Castriciones and other top agrarian officials will draw up the necessary measures to ensure a swift distribution of all agricultural lands in Central Luzon, specifically those owned by the government that are suitable for agricultural purposes.
