Angel Locsin asks fans to wish her luck as she starts weight-loss journey

Finally.

After breaking many hearts seemingly letting herself go, going on to actually accrue unneeded poundage, Angel Locsin is now eager to steal her old, svelte self back.

Recently, on social media, the actress shared with fans that she is trying a diet program as prescribed by a respected clinic.

She would go on to share a photo of her first meal under the program.

"I'm on a 800-calorie diet and according to my nutritionist ... 'yun ang kailangan to achieve my goal," she explained. "So please bear with me and wish me good luck."

The actress was body-shamed in 2019, after photos of her looking all-too rotund made it to social media.

She was hurt, of course.

Angel said in a statement,“May mga bagay kasi na hindi mo dapat gawin sa kapwa mo. Kung ang taong ito comfortable siya sa ginagawa niyang ‘yan, ayaw ko mag-deal sa mga ganu’ng klaseng tao. Kasi sad ang life niya. Kasi ako, wala akong problema. Bakit ikaw ang dami mong isyu? Ako nga, walang isyu, e. Katawan ko ‘to, ako ‘to, sarili ko ‘to. “E, ikaw, okay ka ba?”

Prior, Angel related her weight gain was due to her not being able to workout as much due to a spinal injury.

"Noong bumalik ako ng workout, umiyak ako, e. Naramdaman ko ‘yung mga hindi ko na puwedeng gawin. Dati kasi feeling mo superhero ka talaga, kaya mong gawin lahat. Kailangan mong harapin na iba na. Hangga’t hindi mo natatanggap ‘yon, hindi ka mag-mo-move forward kasi, eh,” she shared.
