The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) has accepted a total of 4,000 applicants as freshmen for academic year 2021-2022.

According to PLM, some 55,000 high school students from all over the country applied and 13,500 applicants who were prequalified took the virtual PLM Admission Test (PLMAT) on May 7.
The test consisted of a two-hour written examination administered through online video conferencing rooms.
The exam results as well as high school grades of the applicants were then used as a basis to evaluate their qualification for admission to PLM.
"These students will comprise the second batch of first year students who will start their undergraduate degrees using online platforms which will employ out-of-classroom methods amid sustained government restrictions on face-to-face classes amid the COVID-19 pandemic," the PLM said in a statement.
PLM disclosed that two-thirds of the passers are female while the rest are male.
Almost 60 percent of the successful applicants are residents of Manila, while the remainder hail from other parts of the country. Majority are from the National Capital Region.
Confirmation of slots will start on Friday, June 11 until June 25.
PLM reminded that applicants whose degrees were tagged as “for advising” will receive an email detailing the next steps on how they can choose a degree program.
