William Martinez reveals reason of split with wife Yayo Aguila

They were married for more than 20 years.

The whole thing ended for William Martinez and Yayo Aguila following her stint on "Pinoy Big Brother" in 2007.

But what exactly caused the split?

In an interview with Aster Amoyo via her vlog, TicTALK, William shared it was caused by several factors.

These include him and Yayo having arguments, the last of which was her allegedly blaming him for her mother's death.

The 55-year-old former matinee idol recalled, "She was blaming me... hindi ko alam kung bakit... She was so mad at me..."

Then there's Yayo supposedly having an "affair" while vacationing in the US, something he said, he learned from one of their daughters.

Not that he initiated the breakup.

According to William when Yayo returned from the US, it was then that she told him "(Mag)hiwalay na kami."

Their four kids went with Yayo.

William is living by his lonesome for 11 years now.

There is no animosity between them.

As William described it, they are "friends."

Asked if there's a chance they could get back together, William answered in the negative, relating there is no "heat" between them anymore.

He is not keen on finding another partner, maintaining he had vowed to himself that he will marry only once and that's it.

At this point in his life, William wants to try showbiz once again, if only to assure old fans he is still around and he still can hack it.
