The Pasay City Government ranked first in the use of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) vaccines, according to the data from the Department of Health (DOH).

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, who was present during the commitment ceremony and symbolic vaccination of the A4 sector at the SM Mall of Asia on Monday (June 7), cited figures from the DOH, saying that the local government achieved an 85 percent utilization rate.
In Metro Manila, according to Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chair Benhur Abalos, over 1.6 million people received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine while more than 600,000 have been fully vaccinated.
He added that Metro mayors said that Metro Manila can vaccinate up to 120,000 a day.
Metro Manila has a population of 14 million and four percent of it has been fully vaccinated.
To achieve herd immunity or 70 percent of the population of Metro Manila, over 9 million people need to be vaccinated.
On the other hand, the DOH said that more than five million COVID-19 vaccine doses have already been administered in the country as of June 6.
Meanwhile, Pasay has also been cited as the city with the lowest number of active COVID-19 cases.
In the latest update of the Pasay City Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit on June 7, 2021, the city logged a total of 49 active COVID-19 cases with four tagged as new cases.
