The Parañaque City government started inoculating essential workers after the ceremonial and symbolic kickoff of the vaccination of persons under the A4 category at SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City on June 7.

Mayor Edwin Olivarez personally supervised the vaccination of residents under the A4 category held at SM City in Sucat. He was assisted by Dr. Olga Virtusio, the city health officer.
Olivarez said the city government immediately started the vaccination of persons who were listed under the A4 category: economic frontliners, uniformed personnel, those working in the market, groceries, transport sectors, banks, and financial institutions; religious leaders, security personnel, members of the media, employees at utility services and telecoms, and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
He said the city government is also continuing the inoculation of persons under the A1 category (frontline workers), A2 (senior citizens) and A3 (adults with comorbidities).
The mayor also said the city government is also servicing sick senior citizens and adults through their mobile vaccination program (MVP).
Olivarez said the MVP team led by Dr. Jefferson Pagsisihan, medical director of Ospital ng Parañaque 1 and 2, has been visiting barangays with highest recorded cases of COVID-19 to inoculate senior citizens and adult with comorbidities who cannot visit the city’s vaccination sites.
