Filipino Redditors launch donation drive for health workers, public hospitals
A group of Filipino Redditors launched a donation drive to support healthcare workers in their bout against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

According to R/PH for Healthcare Workers and Filipinos, a group which comprised of volunteers from American social news aggregation Reddit and other social media platforms, the initiative would benefit healthcare workers from state-run hospitals in Metro Manila.
Healthcare workers working under the COVID-19 triage and emergency room would be the main target of the group.
The donation drive was also set up to help small businesses thrive while supporting the Filipino medical community.
"The rise of COVID-19 cases in the country has put the and Greater Manila Area under community quarantine and there's no sign that this would end soon. It burdens not only the medical community but also the small business of our country," the group said in a Facebook post.
The hospitals or healthcare facilities they will be supporting are:
- Lung Center of the Philippines
- Amang Rodriguez Memorial Medical Center
- Jose Reyes Medical Center
- Philippine Heart Center
- Philippine General Hospital
- Jose Rodriguez Medical Center
- Philippine Children's Medical Center
- Veterans Memorial Medical Center
- Philippine Orthopedic Center
