Angel Locsin backs UPIS fund-raising effort for poor students

Kapamilya star Angel Locsin has expressed support to the fund-raising activity of the University of the Philippines Integrated School in Diliman, Quezon which aims to support the needs of its students during these difficult times.

On Instagram June 7, Locsin showed a shirt being sold by UPIS in which proceeds will be given to poor students of UPIS.

"Supporting my friend @frascomortz and UPIS fund-raising effort to help underprivileged students from UPIS who are struggling with the costs of home-based learning. You may visit upisthebest.com to donate or buy merch," wrote on social media.

The UPIS has sought the help of the public to support its fund-raising effort.

"As a state school, UPIS has limited options to raise funds to support the needs of its students during these difficult times.

"Alam naman natin na hindi lahat ng estudyante sa UPIS kaya ang gastos ng home-based learning. Sa P600 na donation, malaking tulong na sa pangangailangan nila ngayon. Visit upisthebest.com to donate today," the UPIS wrote on its IG account. (Not all students of UPIS can afford the home-based training. For P600 donation, it will help the students cope with their needs). Â Â
