TRENDING! Netizens react to DOT's plan to invite K-pop stars to boost PH tourism
The Department of Tourism's (DOT) plan to tap South Korean superstars BTS and Hyun Bin to boost local tourism is currently trending on social media.
Note that for the past months, giant companies have tapped Korean acts as brand ambassadors.

In fact, one of the country's largest telecom companies even joined in on the trend.
A concerned citizen wrote,"This is so funny, I dunno how to explain but, for real? First, boosting tourism using non-Fil citzn? Tourism over cases of covid? These are huge people in their industry, how about their fee? Can the country afford it? Why not prioritize health and education sector first?"

Another added: "They just can’t accept the fact that they have been incompetent throughout this pandemic and they have the guts to use BTS and Hyun Bin to boost tourism when they can’t even fix our situation here. Lol disappointed but not surprised."
Then there are those who are urging the government to be more creative in solving the dearth in the sector.
So what do you think?
