Netflix recently unveiled images from the fifth and final season of "La Casa de Papel (Money Heist)."
Among them is an encounter involving two key characters - Professor and Sierra, with the latter pointing gun at the former.
The Professor or Sergio Marquina, played by Álvaro Morte, is the mastermind of the heist. While Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) is the inspector who was put in charge of the case after Lisbon/Raquel departed from the force.
In a press statement sent to Bulletin Entertainment, Netflix shared that the images reveal the chaos both inside and outside of the Bank of Spain; with the Professor being caught off guard after Sierra finds his hideout.
"The war begins and we see how The Gang must bring out its toughest side to survive, fuelled by anguish, more weapons and the desperation of not having a plan," they teased.
Part 5 of the iconic series will be released in two volumes on Sept. 3 and Dec. 3.
“When we began to write Part 5 in the midst of the pandemic, we felt that we had to change what was expected from the ten-episode season and used every tool we could to create the sensation of a season finale or series finale in the first volume itself. We decided to work in an extremely aggressive genre, putting The Gang on the ropes. In volume 2, we focus more on the emotional situation of the characters. It is a journey across their sentimental map that connects us directly to their departure,” said Álex Pina, show creator.
Late last year, Netflix announced that they are producing a Korean adaptation of the show.
Then in March, they introduced the official cast.
