DFA: No new death among overseas Filipinos due to COVID-19
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported that no Filipino overseas died due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Saturday, June 5.

The total number of COVID-19 deaths among Filipinos abroad is still at 1,194.
According to the DFA, the number of Filipinos overseas affected by the disease reached 19,878 on June 3 in 94 countries or territories. The number of Filipinos undergoing treatment is 6,628.
Meanwhile, 12,056 of the total number of cases have already recovered.
The DFA has said its personnel in Foreign Service Posts remain steadfast in partnering with local health authorities and commit to tirelessly attending to the needs of Filipinos, whenever possible.
Based on data from the DFA, 11,350 of the total number of coronavirus cases came from Middle Eastern and African countries. Of the said number, 789 died, 6,293 recovered, and 4,268 were still undergoing treatment.
There have been 3,522 Filipinos with COVID-19 in Europe, 130 of whom died while 2,462 recovered.
The DFA reported that 4,022 of the total number of cases came from the Asia Pacific Region and 984 were from the Americas.
