Real or fake photo? Wild alligator enters garage during flash flood

Aside from being resilient, Filipinos are known for being ingenious. Take for example the recent tropical storm Dante that hit the southern part of the country. Bobsteel Gualiza, an 18-year-old student from Agusan del Norte, posted a viral photo of what seems to be an alligator swimming right outside their house.

"Can't go out because we have a visitor," he posted on his Facebook account. Manila Bulletin Lifestyle found out that he edited this photo. "It took five minutes to edit, using an app in my phone," he says. So many people thought it was real, sending him messages and asking for more details.

Bobsteel also revealed that he has been editing photos for fun, but it was the first time he posted one online. Why? "It was raining then, so I thought it would be nice to include an alligator in the photo."
