'Girl from Nowhere' star reveals undergoing brain surgery days before audition

Thai actress Chanya McClory, who played Yuri in the new season of the hit series "Girl from Nowhere," has revealed an inspiring story of how she rose from the challenges before she hit the big time.

On Instagram, Chanya shared details of her audition video for the Netflix series.

Chanya said she auditioned for the series just 11 days after she had brain surgery.

"I looked so ordinary there. Actually, I was very worried about my surgery because it has everything to do with my brain and nerves. I was so scared that I may not be able to act again after waking up from the surgery. But when I woke up, I was given an opportunity and I didn’t think twice about taking the chance," she said.

Chanya noted that then even though she was not so confident; she tried to believe that she could do it.

"And I did it!" she declared.

"What I want to tell everyone is that if I can do it, anyone can do it too! Whether you have a health problem or any kinds of problems, don’t give up on what you believe in. Don’t give up on what you want or what you want to be. Don’t let your limitations limit you from your dream. I’m here to cheer you up."

Chanya also thanked the fans of their show.

"Without you, the series couldn't have been as successful as this," she said.

"Girl From Nowhere"is a fantasy thriller centered around Nanno, an unconventional teenager, played by Kitty Chicha Amatayakul, who moves to different schools to serve her own brand of vigilante justice.

In Season 2, Nanno tackles even bigger social injustices that take her beyond school grounds. But, this time, she is no longer the only vigilante around as the enigmatic Yuri follows in her shadow, forcing her to face her greatest challenge yet.
