3 passengers dead after man sets bus on fire in M'lang, Cotabato

DAVAO CITY - Three still unidentified persons were burned to death after being trapped in a bus that was set on fire in M'lang, Cotabato Thursday afternoon.

Based on the initial report of the police, a unit of the Yellow Bus Line company, YBL A-104, with temporary plate number 1301-1245660 was allegedly burned by a still unidentified male suspect. The police report said the incident occurred around 4:45 pm along the national highway in Barangay Bialong.

The suspect immediately fled towards the direction of Barangay Poblacion of the said town, the police report added.

While most of the passengers were able to get out, initial investigation revealed that three still unidentified persons were trapped and burned to death. The driver and the bus inspector are now in the custody of Mlang Municipal Police Station. Investigation on the incident is still ongoing.
