Manila resumes mass vaccination

The Manila city government resumed its mass vaccination for A1 to A5 priority groups on Wednesday, June 30.

Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso said that the Certificate of Analysis (COA) for the vaccines has been received by the city government.

The vaccination in the city was halted for about five days due to the lack of COA "as part of the quality assurance and safety prior to its use."

The city government will use its purchased Sinovac vaccines which arrived on June 24.

"We will reach as many people as possible. We will protect as many people as possible, as soon as possible. We need protection, you need protection," Domagoso said.

The city government, through the Manila Health Department (MHD), will vaccinate A1, A2, A3, A4, and A5 priority groups for 1st dose vaccination.

Each vaccination site in Districts 1 to 6 will have 1,000 doses each.

The city's mall vaccination sites will administer the 2nd dose to A1, A2, and A3 priority groups.

Robinsons Place Manila, SM Manila, and SM San Lazaro will have 1,500 doses each while the Lucky Chinatown Mall will have 1,499 doses only.

Meanwhile, a total of 22,800 doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccines were delivered to the nation's capital on Tuesday (June 29) by the national government.
