'First Yaya' airs touching finale this Friday

GMA Network's well-loved primetime series "First Yaya" is set to conclude its run this Friday, July 2, after months of clinching victory in the ratings game and winning the hearts of viewers with its enthralling plot and gripping performances from the cast.

In its final week, Melody (Sanya Lopez) convinces President Glenn (Gabby Concepcion) not to withdraw from his position as the President to which he agrees. Luis (Gardo Versoza), President Glenn's political foe disguised as an ally, is enraged by his competitor's bold statement against him and plots his revenge to assassinate President Glenn. Will this be the end of Melody and President Glenn's fairytale-like romance?

Playing equally vital roles in the series are Pancho Magno as PSG Conrad Enriquez, Ms. Pilar Pilapil as Blesilda Acosta, Cassy Legaspi as Nina Acosta, Joaquin Domagoso as Jonas, Maxine Medina as Lorraine Prado, Kakai Bautista as Pepita, Cai Cortez as Norma, Thou Reyes as Yessey, Patricia Coma as Nicole Acosta, Clarence Delgado as Nathan, Thia Thomalla as PSG Val Canete, Jon Lucas as Titus de Villa, Glenda Garcia as Marni Tupaz, Sandy Andolong as Edna Reyes, Buboy Garovillo as Florencio Reyes, Analyn Barro as Gemrose Reyes, Anjo Damiles as Jasper, and Jerrick Dolormente as Lloyd Reyes.

Gabby reveals what he will miss the most in the series, "Mami-miss ko 'yung samahan at tawanan. Hindi naman parating masaya sa set pero ito kakaiba dahil ngayon lang ako nakaranas na kahit sa set o sa labas, talagang masaya kami. Hindi ko malilimutan 'yung samahan ng buong cast, staff, at production team."

Sanya, in turn, describes how her first titular role changed her life, "Mas lumalim po 'yung pagkakakilala ko lalo na sa mga kasambahay sa buhay natin. Mas na-realize ko na lahat tayo, lalo na ang mga kasambahay, lahat tayo may dinadalang problema. Dito mas nakilala ko 'yung sarili ko at natutunan ko na sa buhay natin hindi lang sarili natin 'yung mahalaga, pati na rin 'yung buhay ng ibang tao."

Meanwhile, Pancho shares that the whole team is excited for the viewers to witness their finale week, "Abangan nila kung ano pang mangyayari sa lahat ng characters. Honestly, we're all super excited kung ano ang magiging kalalabasan at magiging reaction ng mga tao sa finale week namin."

The show's director, LA Madridejos, reveals what he believes to be the secret behind Sanya and Gabby's undeniable on-screen chemistry, "Basically kung ano 'yung nangyari kina Yaya Melody at PGA, ganoon din 'yung nangyari sa chemistry nina Sanya and Gabby. As we go along, makikita mo magwo-work 'yung magic niyan. Iyon 'yung masarap sa hindi pinilit. Iyon 'yung masarap sa hinayaan mo mag-grow sila. Tapos unti-unti, kahit wala kang ibinibigay na instructions, meroon na silang inputs and nagagawa na at alam mo na na-invibe na nila 'yung buong character."
