WATCH: Hermes and the art of sailing

​​​​​​​Light-hearted, relaxed, and free—these are the exact words embodying Hermès latest collection. For spring-summer 2022, designer Véronique Nichanian draws inspiration from sailing. “The collection exudes an air of relaxed light-heartedness and freedom. It is a response to the call of wide open spaces, a yearning for the oceans. Materials mix and techniques combine, while innovation and heritage intermingle,” says the brand.

Staged by theater director Cyril Teste, a long-time collaborator of Hermès, the livestream was broadcasted and displayed as backdrop while the models made the runway. They flooded the presentation with the colors of the sun, sand, sea, and sky featuring key pieces like reversible outerwear, ombre knitwear, and below-the-knee bermuda shorts paired with high socks and ankle boots.
