James Yap misses daughter's birthday celebration

Basketball star James Yap missed his daughter Francesca's simple birthday celebration after he attended the interment of former president Benigno Simeon C. Aquino III over the weekend.

"Sana nandyan ako, I miss you and can’t wait to see you soon ❤️ happy birthday my beautiful princess!" said James on Instagram as he posted a snap of his family based in Italy.

Prior, James greeted his daughter in a separate post: "This 3rd birthday has brought me extreme joy. Papa loves you so much, baby girl. Happiest birthday to my wonderful gift."

Although most of the time he stays in Italy, James arrived in Manila to attend the burial of president Noynoy, brother of his former wife actress Kris Aquino. James and Kris have a son Bimby.

Currently, James is in a relationship with Italian banker Michela Cazzola. They have two kids.
