Las Piñas LGU administers 199,505 COVID-19 jabs

The Las Piñas City government has administered 195,505 vaccines against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) from the total 450,000 target population.

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the city vaccinated a total of 160,950 residents belongings to the A1 (health care workers), A2 (senior citizens), A3 (adult with comorbidities), A4 (economic frontliners), and the A5 (indigent sector) categories received their first dose.

Aguilar said the city government recorded a total of 38,555 who were fully vaccinated.

For the A5 category, a total of 1,943 individuals received their first dose of Pfizer vaccine.

The mayor urged those belonging to the indigent sector to be part of the “Ligtas na Las Pinero, Lahat Bakunado” vaccination program of the city government.

Aguilar said city resident must complete their second dose of vaccines for them to be safe and protected against the virus.

She said senior citizens or those under the A2 category recorded the highest number of those who received vaccines against the virus, 35,558 for the first dose, while 16,111 were fully vaccinated.
