Five thousand more have been added to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the country on Monday, June 28.

The Department of Health (DOH) reported 5,604 new COVID-19 cases which brought the total number of cases nationwide to 1,403,588.
The case bulletin of DOH also showed 6,154 new recoveries and 84 new deaths.
Total recoveries rose to 1,327,103 while total deaths climbed to 24,456.
The DOH said eight duplicates were removed from the total case count saying six of these were recoveries.
"Moreover, 57 cases previously tagged as recoveries have been validated to be active cases and 38 cases that were previously tagged as recoveries were reclassified as deaths after final validation," it said.
The Health department said all labs were operational on June 26, 2021 while six labs were not able to submit their data to the COVID-19 Document Repository System (CDRS).
"Based on data in the last 14 days, the six non-reporting labs contribute, on average, 1.5 percent of samples tested and 2.5 percent of positive individuals," said DOH.
