Thirty-four years on, Vice President Leni Robredo could imagine no other love --- even after her longtime partner is no longer around with her.
The vice president celebrated her 34 years of being married to the late Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo as per her Facebook post on Sunday, June 27.
“Celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary today. We celebrated our 25th with a family trip. Two months after, he was gone,” Robredo wrote.
Jesse died on a plane crash off Masbate in August 2012, but she could not stop reminscing their happy moments together.
“It has been 9 years. But we still feel his presence everyday,” the lady official said.
Robredo marked her 34th wedding anniversary with Jesse by posting their thowback photo in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.
In a later post, the vice president also shared she received flowers and coffee from their daughters.
Jesse’s death left behind the vice president and their three daughters—Aika, Tricia, and Jillian.
“Anniversary flowers and my favorite Vietnamese coffee from my girls this morning,” Robredo said in her post with a heart emoticon.
