Survey: 'Penthouse 3,' 'Running Man' among favorite TV shows in Korea in June

Gallup Korea released the list of the favorite TV shows in South Korea in June and this includes the drama “The Penthouse 3” and “Running Man.”

The survey was held on June 15 and 16 among 1,001 people in Korea aged 18 and above with a sampling error of +/- 3.1 percentage points.

Leading the pack is popular entertainer Yoo Jae-suk’s “Hangout with Yoo,” which took first place with 7.2 percent, the second straight month that it topped the survey.

Placing second is the show “Romantic Call Centre” featuring trot singers, which garnered 6.4 percent.

Grabbing third place is Yoo Jae-suk’s “Yoo Quiz on the Block” with 3.7 percent followed by the tvN drama “Mine” with 3.6 percent and the “Ppong School,” another trot show, with 3.4 percent.

Here are the top 20 most favorite TV shows in South Korea for June, according to a survey by Gallup Korea:

2. “Romantic Call Center” (TV Chosun) - 6.4 percent

3. “Yoo Quiz on the Block” (tvN) - 3.7 percent

4. “Mine” (tvN) - 3.6 percent

6. “Steel Troops” (Channel A) - 3.2 percent

7. “Revolutionary Sisters” (KBS2) - 3.1 percent

8. “The Penthouse 3” (SBS) - 3 percent

9. “Running Man” (SBS) - 2.8 percent

10. “Be My Dream Family” (KBS1) - 2.4 percent

11. “Knowing Bros” (JTBC) - 2.1 percent

12. “Miss Monte-Cristo” (KBS2) - 2 percent

13. “Bossam: Steal the Fate” (MBN) - 1.8 percent

14. “The Story of the Day Biting the Tail” Season 2 (SBS) - 1.7 percent

15. “Let’s Play Basketball” (JTBC) - 1.6 percent

16. “2 Days & 1 Night” Season 4 - 1.5 percent

17. “I Live Alone” (MBC) - 1.3 percent
