Local publisher releases free ebook copy of 'Ninoy, Cory, and Noynoy' in honor of PNoy's passing

In honor of former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III's passing, a local publisher has released free ebook copies of Dream Big Books' "Ninoy, Cory, and Noynoy."

The book, which was first released in 2012, was written by Yvette Fernandez and illustrated by Abi Goy.

In a Facebook post, Summit Books said it is their way of honoring the late former president.

"Join us as we honor 61 years of the former president's life--a journey traveled on the right path that left a better future for our children and our children's children," it wrote.

The public can download the free soft copy of the book until July 8.

The book was made in cooperation of Noynoy's sisters, Ballsy and Pinky.

Proceeds of the book sales went to Aklat, Gabay, Aruga Tungo sa Pag-Angat at Pag-Asa, a project that promoted literacy and early childhood development in public schools.

The 15th Philippine president died on June 24 due to renal disease secondary to diabetes. He was 61 years old.

Aquino was laid to rest on Saturday, June 26, in Manila Memorial Park beside his parents, former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino and former President Corazon "Cory" Aquino.
