PasigPass QR code, 3 others contact tracing apps can be used in Taytay, Rizal

PasigPass, Pasig City's contact tracing application, as well as the contact tracing applications of three other cities, can now be used in the province of Taytay, Rizal, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto announced on Friday.

This after the contact tracing application of Taytay, Rizal -- Taytay Trail -- has been included in the Contact Tracing Network Consortium Agreement which integrates the contact tracing applications of Pasig City (PasigPass), Valenzuela City (ValTrace), Antipolo City (Antipolo Bantay COVID-19), and Mandaluyong City (MandaTrack) for a more streamlined contact tracing system.

"Magandang balita, PasigueÃ±os! Simula sa Lunes, June 28, 2021 ay maaari na ring magamit ang inyong PasigPass QR code sa Taytay, Rizal! (Good news, PasigueÃ±os! Starting Monday, June 28, you can now use your PasigPass QR code in Taytay, Rizal)," Sotto said.

"Kaya naman maski iisa lang sa PasigPass, ValTrace, Antipolo Bantay COVID-19, MandaTrack, at Taytay Trail ang iyong QR code, magagamit mo na ito maski saan sa limang lugar na nabanggit (You can now use your PasigPass, ValTrace, Antipolo Bantay COVID-19, MandaTrack, and Taytay Trail QR codes in any of the said areas)," he added.

The mayor said that with the new system, a person no longer needs to register to other contact tracing applications. It lessens the need to write on manual contact tracing forms.

It also assures that the CESU (City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit) can efficiently collate and store ones data.
