Mayor Emi: Pasay can administer 7,500 COVID-19 jabs a day

Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the city government can administer 7,500 COVID-19 jabs a day depending on the supply of the vaccines.

Rubiano said the city government recorded a total of 3,128 jabs administered on June 24, which is no longer far from their 7,500 target a day.

She said once the vaccines procured by the city government and the supply from the national government arrive, the city can administer more than the 7,500 target a day.

The mayor is also confident the city government can achieve the herd immunity by the end of September or first week of October once they finish the inoculation of 310,000 residents.

Rubiano said they have constant dialogues and meetings with barangay officials who played as ambassadors in educating residents in their respective jurisdiction on the harmful effect of the virus.

Rubiano also said the city is also strictly implementing the prevent-detect-isolate-treat and reintegrate (PDITR) system and intensifying contact tracing to control the spread of the virus.
