Israeli experts praise Manila's COVID-19 Field Hospital

Medical experts from Israel were all praises for Manila City’s COVID-19 Field Hospital.

Dafna Segal, one of the three experts from Israel’s Ministry of Health who visited the facility on June 23, said her team was “really impressed” with the facility.

“We were really impressed by the thinking of the small details, about the redundancy of the different machinery needed and the different facilities,” Segal said.

Segal’s colleague Avraham Ben-Zaken said the facility “looks wonderful.”

“Mayor Moreno and the people of the hospital are making a great job,” Zaken said.

National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 Deputy Chief Implementer and testing czar Vince Dizon in his speech during the inauguration of the field hospital on June 24, recalled how the experts couldn’t believe how the hospital was only built in 52 days.

“Nung nakita po nila ito, hindi po sila makapaniwala dahil unang una napakakumpleto at napaka-detalyado ng pagkagawa at pagkaplano ng facility pero mas lalo silang di naniwala nung sinabi ni Yorme na 52 days lang natapos ito (When they saw the facility, they couldn't believe how complete and detailed the construction and planning of the facility was, but they were even more in disbelief when Yorme said that it was only completed in 52 days),” Dizon said.

The Manila COVID-19 Field Hospital started operations on June 25, Friday.

Mild to moderate COVID-19 patients have been transferred to the facility on Friday morning.
