Sharon Cuneta, Korina Sanchez extend condolences to Kris Aquino's family

Celebrities expressed sympathy to Kris Aquino's family after her brother, former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, passed away this morning, June 24.

Megastar Sharon Cuneta wrote on Instagram: "Deepest condolences to PNoy’s family on his passing. May God hold you all tightly in his arms as you go through this difficult time…"

Korina Sanchez-Roxas shared a photo of the former President as she described his demise as a "sad day."

"Gone too soon. Many presidents have come and gone. But PNOY I knew. Thank you for your friendship. Most of all, gratitude for service to our country. Godspeed. Bon voyage. Be happy in eternity with your parents, your fellow Filipino heroes," Korina said.

Senator Kiko Pangilinan and former Mar Roxas were among the personalities spotted at the Capitol Medical Center in Quezon City where Noynoy passed on.

Kim Chiu uploaded infographics of Noynoy's passing along with heart and folded hands emojis.

Some local artists and TV personalities also wished Noynoy rest in peace.
