1 hurt, 140 families affected in Brgy. Commonwealth, QC fire

One person was injured while 140 families were affected by a fire that hit a residential area in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City before dawn on Thursday (June 24).

The Quezon City Fire Department (QCFD) said the fire started at the house of Jessie Villarosa located at Maria Corazon Street in Doña Carmen Subdivision at 3:21 a.m.

The fire which reached the second alarm was put out at 5:40 a.m.

The casualty, a 28-year-old man, had an abrasion on his right foot due to the fire.

The fire damaged around 70 houses.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation as of this posting.
