Dizon:PH hit highest jab rate in 1 day with 353K COVID-19 vaccines administered

The country hit the highest jab rate on Wednesday, June 23, with 353,000 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) jabs administered.

National Task Force (NTF) Deputy Chief Implementer and Testing Czar Vince Dizon revealed this in a press briefing in Taguig, Thursday, June 24.

"Today, we hit a milestone. We hit our highest jab rate in one day. We hit about 353,000 yesterday and the NCR hit I think 167,000 in one day. That is really an achievement," he said.

"The days when we were hitting less than 100,000 are behind us," added Dizon.

He said with the additional vaccine doses that are coming in, the number will only get higher and higher in the coming weeks.

Dizon, however, explained that the original nationwide target is 500,000 a day.

"We are almost there...the target for NCR was only 120,000 and they have already breached that in the last four days," he said.
