Caloocan, Navotas City mayors mourn PNoy's passing

Caloocan City Mayor Oca Malapitan and Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco expressed their condolences to the family of former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III.

"Nakikiramay po ang Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Caloocan sa pagpanaw ni dating Pangulong Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III (The Caloocan City Government extends its condolences on the passing of former President Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III)," Malapitan said in a Facebook post on Thursday.

"Nagpapasalamat po kami sa lahat ng inyong kabutihan, pagmamalasakit at dedikasyong ipinamalas bilang ika-15 Pangulo ng Pilipinas (We thank you for all your kindness, concern, and dedication as the 15th President of the Philippines)," he added.

Meanwhile, Mayor Tiangco also offered his condolences to the Aquino family.

"Ipinapaabot po natin ang taos-pusong pakikiramay sa pamilya ni dating Pangulong Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III (We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III)," he said.

"Alam nating mahirap ang mawalan ng mahal sa buhay. Dalangin nating maibsan ng pagmamahal at suporta ang kalungkutang nadarama ngayon ng kanyang mga naiwan (We know it is hard to lose a loved one. We pray that love and support will alleviate the grief being felt today by those he left behind)," he added.

The former president died on Thursday morning due to renal disease secondary to diabetes.
