93 HEIs issued with authority to conduct limited face-to-face classes

Ninety-three higher education institutions (HEIs) have been issued with authority to conduct limited face-to-face classes as of June 21.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) revealed this on Thursday, June 24 in an online press briefing.

"As of June 21, 2021 the Commission through CHED regional offices received 218 intents and 155 applications," CHED said in a video presentation.

"Moreover, in coordination with the Department of Health (DOH), Inter Agency Task Force (IATF), and local government units, the CHED regional offices have conducted a total of 113 onsite inspections of campuses and facilities of concerned HEIs," it added.

"From the applications received and inspections conducted, there are 93 HEIs issued with authority to conduct limited face-to-face classes in 15 regions in the country," CHED said.
