Here's a one of a kind digital marketplace for burial, cremation, obituaries, and other funeral needs

"Funerals are important rituals. They don’t just recognize that a life has ended; they recognize that a life was lived." That statement from the 2009 Jennifer Aniston flick "Love Happens" couldn't be more true. Although funerals are always a sight of sorrow, in some cases, it is a celebration of a legacy.
Funerals are also for the living as much as they are for the dead. They bring families together, making them among the most special social events loved ones must attend. With that kind of gathering, everything must be in place for the family, especially to pay respect for their dearly departed.
Helping families during their time of grief is Onora, a newly launched digital marketplace dedicated to everything related to funeral services.
"It is the first and only funeral service app that helps people have the access and flexibility to search and book, all at the touch of their fingertips," the app says.
Onora has over 500+ funeral services homes nationwide that people can choose from. It also offers 2000+ services, which include burial, cremation, catering, flowers, obituaries, photographers, and more.
"You can choose from all the merchants that will be available through the app. It is as easy as deciding the location where you want the funeral and choosing from all the funeral homes in the location you specified," it states. "A booking pop up will appear in your app and a confirmation will be sent to your email address."
Financial transactions are made easy with the app as families can use it to pay for all the services they need. The app accepts Paypal accounts and credit cards, and will have other modes of payment available in the near future.
"Aside from the obvious practical advantages Onora’s tech provides by making planning easier, lifting the mental load allows mourners time to grieve, reflect and respect their loved one," Onora founder Benjamin E. Dychangco says.
Currently, the app is working on having a Tribute Tab where people can customize the details of the wake of their deceased loved one that can be shared through social media accounts and Messenger apps for far off and overseas relatives.
"Onora means honor in the Gaelic language, and we believe that to honor a loved one should be the only thing that you focus on during this trying time," Benjamin muses. "With Onora, we hope to make the grieving process just a little bit easier."
Onora is now available for download on Google Play Store and it will be soon available on Apple App store. Visit www.onora.ph/, Facebook, and Instagram to know more about the app.
