Pasay LGU administers more than 5,000 jabs a day

The Pasay City government has logged its highest single-day vaccination record of 5,051 of those belonging to the A1 (health care frontline workers), A2 (senior citizens), A3 (adult with comorbidities) and A4 (economic fronliners) categories.

The Pasay City Public Information Office (PIO), in a Facebook post, said the city government administered on June 22, Tuesday, the first dose of vaccines to 4,794 persons and 77 for the second dose.

The city government recorded a total of 142, 907 vaccines that have already been deployed to the city’s vaccination sites.

Jun Burgos, the city’s PIO head, said 3,872 health care frontline workers received their first dose while 3,535 of them received the second dose.

Burgos said the city government administered vaccines to 19,723 senior citizens for the first dose while 10,177 already had their second dose.

He said the A3 category (adults with comorbidities) has the highest number of those availing of the city government’s “Vacc to the Future” vaccination program with 59,407 for the first dose and 19,045 already done with their second dose.

The PIO chief said 26,218 economic frontliner were vaccinated with their first dose while 930 had already received their second dose.

Burgos said Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano is appealing to the residents to get vaccinated and be protected against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Rubiano also encourages all those who already received their first dose not to miss their second dose for them to be fully protected against the virus.
