Manila breaks previous records with single-day vaccination breaching 35,000-mark

Manila’s single-day vaccination rate breached the 35,000-mark on Wednesday, June 22, breaking the city’s previous records.

Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso said the city was able to deploy 35,572 vaccines on June 22 which is 7,930 more than its June 20 record.

Manila broke its single-day vaccination record four times last week. On June 14, the city was able to inoculate 25,668 individuals in a single day, breaking its previous record of 21,824 vaccinations in a single day last May 29.

Domagoso thanked Manilenos for cooperating with the city’s #VaccineNation campaign, as well as the city’s healthcare workers, barangay workers, and the Manila Health Department.

The June 14 record was surpassed the next day with 26,028 vaccinations. Manila further increased its single-day vaccination on June 16 with 27,338 vaccines deployed. On June 18, the number rose to 27,626. On June 20, Manila broke its record anew with 27,642 individuals vaccinated in one day.
