Rica Peralejo quickly explained her side after a netizen called her out for supposedly issuing a statement that is "insensitive" towards single moms.

Recall that she recently shared what her husband Joseph Bonifacio did when she asked the latter to buy a tabo.
In the caption, she noted how it is "what dads are for," then adding that life is incomplete without a father.
An offended online user pointed out the role of a single mom is worth praising too.
"What an insensitive remark coming from someone who preaches love and God’s message. It’s those no-brainer statements that show the real insensitive person (you) are," the comment read.

Rica immediately extended her apology and explained the reason behind her statement.
She also asked the netizen to not take her words as an attack against single moms.
The actress then edited her caption and noted how she grew up without a father on her side as well. But she was able to feel "complete" with the love from Heavenly Father and those people who stand as her father.

"This does not mean to invalidate the efforts of a single mom, but just to say fathers are important and which is why, as I have said over and over to my single mom friends, I recognize how challenging it is na ako mismo dalawa na kaming magulang ay mahirap na ano pa kaya sa kanila?," she said.
"Also, by understanding the crucial role of a father did I only understand why my mom was like that. Appreciated and understood her more knowing she was doing what two people should be doing together," Rica added.
And as for her, she personally experienced that God finds a way to father the fatherless.
"And that completes whatever cannot be completed by our earthly relationships," she reiterated.
