Bayanihan spirit: Local fishermen help Coast Guard deliver relief supplies in Sulu
Local fishermen lend a helping hand to the members of the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) as they delivered food and medical supplies in Maimbung, Sulu on Tuesday morning, June 22.

PCG Commandant Admiral George Ursabia Jr. personally turned over the supplies to the local municipality of Maimbung, which will distribute to its residents.
In addition to the food packs from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), there were also purified drinking water, hygiene supplies, medicine, and medical supplies delivered.

“The purpose of this mission is to help Maimbung residents’ daily needs in the amid coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic,” the Coast Guard said in a statement.
