Mayor Abby to her dad on Fathers' Day: You taught me to dream without limits and serve Makati

Makati City Mayor Abigail “Abby” Binay posted an appreciation post on Facebook for her dad, former vice president Jejomar “ Jojo” Binay on Fathers’ Day, June 20.

Her father campaigned for her in the past elections in spite of the fact that her brother, Junjun Binay, was also vying to become the mayor of Makati City.

“Dad, you have allowed me to soar high, respecting who I am and what I stand for. You taught me to dream without limits and to serve Makati following my own blueprint for its success,” she said.

“Always know that whatever you do, wherever you may decide to go next, I am with you. Happy Father’s Day!”

In 2019, Abby was re-elected mayor of Makati City after garnering 179,522 votes while Junjun only got 93,653 votes.

Abby, in a separate Facebook post, also greeted her husband, Makati City 2nd District Representative Luis Campos Jr., who she described as “patient, funny, indulgent and loving.”

“Our daughter is fortunate to see and experience the sides of you unknown to many. Ever so patient, funny, indulgent and loving. These pictures only give a glimpse of who you are, but to Martina, they capture what we love best about you. Happy Father's Day, Babe!” Abby wrote, accompanied by pictures of her husband and their daughter, Martina.
