
The Department of Health (DOH) has recorded over 5,000 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) across the country.
In the latest case bulletin on Sunday, a total of 5,803 more cases were detected, raising the nationwide count to 1,359,015.
There were 57,679 cases that remained active. Of these cases, 91.9 percent have mild symptoms, 3.7 percent have no symptoms, 1.3 percent were critical, 1.8 percent were severe, and 1.29 percent have moderate symptoms.
Meanwhile, the DOH said 7,652 more people have recovered from the viral illness, pushing the overall count of survivors to 1,277,715.
The country's COVID-19 death toll went up to 23,621 as the Health department confirmed 84 other deaths.
The occupancy rate of intensive care unit beds dedicated for COVID-19 patients nationwide was placed at 57 percent, while the utilization rate for isolation beds stood at 47 percent.
