Adie makes his mark with 'Paraluman'

Adie is a singer-songwriter who knows his way around the small and significant nuances of music and its purpose as an art form and a tool expression, which allows him to create heartfelt songs that will draw in ears, capture hearts, and tell compelling stories that leave his audience wanting more.

Hailing from Biñan, Laguna, he is an incoming first year college student, having recently graduated at the University of Perpetual Help Laguna. His passion for music first emerged when he bagged 3rd place at the UPSHL SHS week’s singing contest.

Adie cites Moira Dela Torre and Shawn Mendez as major music influences, enjoys playing basketball and loves to draw. A budding visual artist as well? The list is endless with Adie.

Early in his career, Adie gained a following by posting viral covers of songs on social media. He got his first shot at doing original material when he submitted an entry for Callalily’s Open Collab songwriting competition, a contest that would grant the winner an opportunity to write a collaborative track with the band. He would go on to make it to the top ten of this competition.

Kean Cipriano was quick to recognize his potential and eventually offered him a recording and management deal with OC Records.

Soon after, his debut, tear-jerking single Luha, which now has more than 600,000 streams on Spotify was released in 2020. His follow up release Paraluman is now enjoying viral success with almost 4 million streams on Spotify.

"Paraluman" has been playlisted in several, prominent Spotify playlists: Hot Hits Philippines, Top 50 Global, Top 50 Philippines, OPM Rising, Trending Tracks, and enjoyed weeks at the top spot for Spotify Viral 50 in the Philippines.

The music video of Paraluman has also been enjoyed by so many music lovers! Featuring Ivana Alwawi as Paraluman, and written and directed by Bela Padilla. The MV has reached 1.8 million views on YouTube in a span of a week.

With almost 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify, Adie is set to conquer the waves and capture more hearts through his heartfelt and emotionally captivating songs.
