Tropical Cyclone 'Dante' (international name 'Choi-wan') Tracker

Dante made its first landfall over Sulat, Eastern Samar at 8:30 p.m., and may have a second landfall over Sorsogon or Masbate in the next few hours.

PAGASA said Dante was in the vicinity of Tarangnan, Samar around 10 p.m., maintaining its maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness up to 80 kph.

Dante has maintained its strength and is about to make landfall over the northern portion of Eastern Samar.

The center of tropical storm Dante was estimated at 55 km east-northeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar around 7 p.m.

The center of tropical storm Dante was estimated at 85 kilometers (km) east-northeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar or 110 km east-southeast of Borongan City, Eastern Samar around 4 p.m.

It has slightly weakened with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph and gustiness of up to 80 kph, and will likely make landfall over Eastern Samar between Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning, June 1 or June 2.

'Dante' has slightly slowed down and will likely make landfall over Eastern Samar or Leyte by Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning, June 1 or June 2.

As of 1 p.m., PAGASA estimated the location of the center of Dante at 220 km east-northeast of Maasin City, Southern Leyte or 125 km east-southeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

The center of tropical storm Dante was estimated at 235 kilometers east of Maasin City, Southern Leyte at 10 a.m. It was still expected to make landfall over Eastern Samar or Leyte.

Dante has maintained its maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph while moving westward at 25 kph.

As of 7 a.m., the center of tropical storm Dante was estimated at 270 km east of Maasin City, Southern Leyte.

In its current forecast track, PAGASA said tropical storm Dante will likely have its initial landfall over Eastern Samar or Leyte between afternoon and evening of June 1.

The center of tropical storm "Dante" was estimated at 310 km east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte or 380 km east of Maasin City, Southern Leyte at 4 a.m.

Eastern Samar, Samar, and Northern Samar were placed under Signal No. 2 due to possible landfall over Eastern Visayas between June 1 and June 2.

It estimated the location of "Dante" at 375 kilometers (km) east-northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, or 455 km east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte at around 4 p.m.

Its location was estimated at 515 kilometers (km) east-northeast of Davao City or 445 km east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur as of 10 a.m.

PAGASA said "Dante" has intensified into a tropical storm with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

Its center was estimated at 625 kilometers east of Davao City at around 3 a.m.

"Dante" maintained its strength but may intensify into a tropical storm within 12 to 24 hours.

PAGASA said tropical depression Dante was estimated at 685 kilometers east of Davao City at around 10 p.m. and maintained its maximum sustained winds of 55 kph near the center and gustiness up to 70 kph.

PAGASA said that tropical depression "Dante" has entered the Philippine area of responsibility, making it the country's fourth tropical cyclone for 2021.

It was estimated at 1,000 km east of Mindanao around 3 a.m., with maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 55 kph.
