NOT SCRIPTED: 'Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho' on story of viral 10-year-old 'araro' boy

GMA7's long-running show, "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS)," was quick to refute allegations that their child labor story featuring a 10-year-old boy from Sultan Kudarat was "scripted."

In a statement, the show maintained the report was based on research involving a real person, Reymark Mariano, and his family.

They reiterated their team actually witnessed the kid plowing a two-hectare field.

The show also noted how Reymark asked not to detail their family's personal problems.

The kid also requested critics to stop bashing his parents.

Recall that the second part of the story featured Reymark's reunion with his mom.

The child actually grew up with his grandparents while his mother is now living with her new family.

Reymark's father is in hiding due to a warrant of arrest for illegal possession of firearms.

Netizens put malice on the mother's sudden return just when the kid started to gain notice.

Note that after the first episode, donations poured in for Reymark - from financial assistance to food supplies, a bike, and a horse, among others.

Meanwhile, an online user claimed that that "KMJS" edited the story to makes Reymark look pitiful for "ratings."
