Filipino team Execration is set to slug it out against tough oppositions in the wildcard stage of the WePlay AniMajor in Kiev, Ukraine starting on Wednesday night, June 2 (PH time).

Bannered by mid laner Yuri Dave "Yowe" Pacaña, carry Jinn "Palos" Lamatao, offlaner Nikko "Nikko" Bilocura and the support duo of Carlo "BDz" Manalo and Ralp Richard "RR" Peñano, Execration will mark its first appearance in a Dota 2 Major after posting an emphatic 2-0 sweep over Fnatic in the third place tiebreaker of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Season 2-Southeast Asia upper division last May 22.

The respected PH esports organization headed by Arvin "Beho" Risos actually qualified for the Boston Major back in 2016 but was not able to play in the tournament due to visa problems.

Player-turned-coach Kimuel "Kim0" Borromeo Rodis and his crew will have their hands full right in their opening match against Chinese giant and ONE Esports Singapore Major champion Invictus Gaming at 9 p.m. on Wednesday.

Execration will next take on Eastern Europe/CIS squad AS Monaco Gambit at 11 p.m. before wrapping up the first day versus another Chinese team in Vici Gaming at 1 a.m. on Thursday, June 3.

The squad in black and blue will battle European powerhouses Team Secret led by TI1 winner Clement "Puppey" Ivanov at 7 p.m. and TI7 champ Team Nigma at 9 p.m. to close its wildcard campaign.

All series in the six-squad wild card are in a two-game format, with only the top two teams advancing to the group stage slated June 4 to 7.

PH powerhouse TNC Predator is seeded in the group stage along with Evil Geniuses (North America) Team Liquid (Europe), PSG.LGD (China), Team Spirit (CIS) and Beastcoast (South America).

Waiting in the playoffs are T1 (Southeast Asia), Alliance (Europe), Team Aster (China), Virtus.pro (CIS), Quincy Crew (North America) and NoPing Esports (South America).
