The Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday confirmed the appointments of two ambassadors and 13 other Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) foreign service officials a day before the Senate and House of Representatives adjourn sine die tomorrow night.

Their confirmation was based on an affirmative recommendation by Senator Panfilo M. Lacson, chairman of the CA foreign relations committee, after a public hearing.
Confirmed were Myla Grace Ragenia Catalbas Macahilig as ambassador to the Holy See with concurrent jurisdiction over Malta and Ezzedin Hambi Tago as ambassador to Egypt with concurrent jurisdiction over Djibouti, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Sudan.
Also confirmed was one chief of mission class 1 confirmed; five chiefs of mission class II; four career minister; and four foreign service officers (FSO) class 1.
