Pasay LGU distributes food packs to COVID-19 patients

The Pasay City government distributed nutritious food packs to 45 COVID-19 patients to help them recover from the disease.

The distribution of food packs is being conducted weekly through the initiative of Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano and the city government to ensure the immediate recovery of COVID-19 patients from the virus.

Each food pack contained one whole chicken, three kilos of rice, fruits, vegetables, and ready to eat foods.

According to the report of the City Health Office posted on the Facebook page of the Public Information Office on June 18, a total of 177 barangays from 201 were declared as COVID-19 free and only 24 remain with cases of infection.

The report shows the city recorded a total of 14,443 confirmed cases, 45 are still active, and 12 are new cases.

Rubiano urged the residents to register for the city’s “Vacc to the Future” vaccination program and continue observing the basic health protocol especially the EMI Habit (Ensure to always wash your hands, mask and face shield is a must and implement physical distancing).
