Parañaque police nab five Chinese, Filipino cohort for kidnap try

Five Chinese and their Filipino cohort were arrested in Parañaque City for trying to kidnap another Chinese who allegedly owe them a debt amounting to P750,000.

Parañaque City police chief, Col. Maximo Sebastian, identified those arrested as Li Yang, 27, Zhou Hao, 30; Zhangg Jia Hao, 20, Liu Kie Yong, 31; and Qui You Bo, 32 all residents of 100 West Building, Washington, Makati City and their driver, Nelson Malavega, 42, a resident of 828 V. Viscara St., Malibay.

Sebastian said the suspects are now detained at the Parañaque police custodial facility and will be charged for attempted kidnapping.

He said the incident happened at about 1:40 along Brandco Avenue corner Cuinco St., Aseana BarangayTambo, Parañaque City.

The city police chief identified the victim as Yang Xiang Yu,32, a Philippine Gaming Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) staff and a resident of Breeze Residences, Pasay City.

Sebastian said reports showed that the victim had just alighted from a transport network vehicle service when the suspects approached him and a heated argument ensued.

The commotion caught the attention of duty hotel personnel who immediately called for police assistance.

The city police chief said members of the Tambo Sub-Station 2 immediately responded and intercepted the suspects who were forcibly boarding the victim into a black Toyota Hi Ace Super Grandia van with plate number NGP 5063.

Sebastian lauded the hotel personnel for immediately reporting the incident to the police.
