Mike Tan reflects on fatherhood

With him now having two angels, we asked hunk Mike Tan how he is as a father.

Well, he was quick to admit that he is a spoiler, noting his daughters have him "bewitched."

But, of course, not all the time.

He knows there is a need for him to step up and show authority once in a while if only to make sure they grow up as good, responsible kids.

Mike has learned the value of patience as a dad.

"I have to, they're still quite young. Siyempre, they don't understand things the way we do," he explained. "So, I'm always kind of careful explaining how things are to them. Kailangan matiyaga ka."

He and his wife content themselves letting their kids explore and satiate their curiosity for now.

Asked to describe his kids, he said, "Yung isa very talkative, yung isa naman very persistent."

Mike and his wife practice respectful parenting wherein they would often ask their kids permission to do things and vice versa.

"Naniniwala ako na respect begets respect e," he said, sharing his hopes it will also mold his children into becoming more caring, respectful individuals.
