EXCLUSIVE: Sam Cruz on Cesar Montano: 'He's a good dad'

The middle child of Sunshine Cruz and Cesar Montano recently opened up on her relationship with her father.

In an exclusive interview with Bulletin Entertainment, Sam revealed that despite her parents having decided to go their separate ways, Cesar still communicates with her as with sisters Angelina and Chesca.

According to her, the veteran action star would sometimes text or chat with them via phone.

He also makes sure to send them verses from the Bible from time to time.

"We don't get to see him much because of the pandemic. We just chat via group," she said.

Sam related how her father gave her good advice after she told him she is also joining showbiz.

She related how Cesar expressed his full support on the endeavor.

"He was like, Sammy I'm so excited that you're finally entering showbiz. It's your time to shine and do your best."

And how would she describe Cesar as a father?

According to Sam, Cesar is "strong" and "good dad."

"As a father, he's a great father. Like, actually, it's not just that we don't really get to see him often pero he texts naman maybe like once a week or thrice a week. He always tries to reach out and asks how we are," she said. "And yeah, he's always there naman po for us even though we don't get to see him all the time."

This Father's day, she's hoping they will get the chance to see him.

If not, she said she and her siblings will definitely reach out to him if only to greet him a simple "Happy Father's Day."
