PAGASA: Generally fair weather conditions over parts of PH

Generally fair weather conditions will prevail over some parts of the country, including Metro Manila, the state weather bureau said Thursday, June 17.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the southwest monsoon or “habagat” will affect Northern Luzon.

PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja said fair weather conditions will prevail over most of Luzon.

Likewise, Visayas will have generally fair weather conditions with scattered rain showers due to localized thunderstorms in the afternoon or in the evening.

Meanwhile, Estareja said that rains due to localized thunderstorms may affect Mindanao in the afternoon.

PAGASA has not issued a gale warning, meaning that fishing boats and other small sea craft are allowed to venture out into the sea.
